USABL Rules

Rule #1 – Birth Certificates / Proof of Birth (REQUIRED)

All players on your roster are required to carry proof of birth (passport or birth certificate). If no proof can be provided on a player challenge, that player must be removed from the game. An ineligible player results in an automatic forfeit.

Rule #16 – Playoff Eligibility

• 1-Day Tournament: All players must play in at least 1 pool play game to qualify for playoffs.
• 3 Game Min – Day 2: Teams may bring up to 3 players who did not participate in Game 1 or Game 2. Must be on roster prior to Day 2 and play in the first game of Day 2. Does not apply to consolation games.

Shared Players

A player cannot participate on more than one team within the same division during a tournament. If found violating this rule, the player must remain with the team they played their first game with.

Roster Protests

If an illegal player is discovered during a game, that player is removed for the rest of the tournament. The game resumes from the point the illegal player was removed. The current game will NOT revert back.

For injuries or last-minute adds, players added to the roster must be submitted to USABL in writing prior to your team's 3rd game.

Rule #18 – Tournament Roster Size

• 46/60 & 50/70: max 15 players
• 13U–16U: max 16 players
• 18U: max 18 players
• Frazier Elite World Series and showcase tournaments: max 20 players

Rule #14 – League Roster Limits

Teams may have a maximum of 16 players on their roster. If a player is temporarily added for a game, mark them with an asterisk (*) on the roster.

Rule #35 – Get Last Names

Each team is required to get the last names when receiving your opponent's lineup.

Rule #43 – Roster Sharing

Players can play on multiple teams outside of their division with no restrictions. If sharing players across teams within your division, it must be no more than 4 players.
